About: Essentially Me



My goal when I started this company was to share my tried and true, simple yet effective handmade products with other ladies who also struggled to find hair products that actually work; products that actually do what they claimed to do and truly had a good amount of the ingredients they claimed to have on the label.

Nowadays, most store bought products are "watered down" and full of fillers and chemicals with no true nutritional value that actually even benefits the hair. I used to spend mounds of money on hair products for my daughters and I (“product junkie”) in search of the perfect product, and our hair would still be left dry and thirsty, brittle and constantly breaking off and shedding. Retaining length and thickness was a true struggle...

This perpetual cycle of disappointment and a lack of desired results is what drove me to begin research into the science of hair, natural ingredients used in cosmetics, and the medicinal use of organic herbs and essential oils that contribute to the health of our hair and body.

So for years I have enjoyed been experimenting and creating small batches of my own little DIY hair, skin and body “potions” and remedies for example like oil blends, rubs, ointment, soaps, and lotions.

Thanks to my natural curiosity and bachelor's degree in science, I was led to create these wonderful hair and body products which my family and I have grown to love over the years. It is my pleasure to share them with you and my hope that they will also become staple products in your households as well.
 The Essentially Me brand is centered around the idea of one’s own identity of self-love, empowerment, purposefulness, and inner strength. We all deserve to be pampered every now and again; and we most definitely all deserve to have access to amazing quality products from a brand we can trust & whose ingredients are safe to absorb into the skin and are completely nourishing. Here at Essentially Me, we believe it is essential to deliver quality hair and body products that in turn promote a better quality of life.
